National Multi Housing Council
National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) was founded in 1978 with just a few members, including such industry stalwarts as Sam Zell, Preston Butcher, Howard Ruby, Trammell Crow, Eric Eichler and Richard Fore. The Council now counts approximately 800 firms on its membership roster, and it represents virtually all of the nation’s larger and most prominent apartment firms. NMHC members are engaged in all aspects of the development and operation of apartments, including ownership, construction, management, and finance of multifamily rental properties.
